A scene from story Narakasuravadham, a story runs for full night performance.
Jayantha, the son of the King of heaven is sitting in the garden in heaven
in a joyful mood enjoying nice breeze. Suddenly a beautiful woman slowly in
a romantic mood or dancing mood comes very near to him. They look at each
other and young man appreciates her beauty. He puts this question. Are you a
woman from heaven or to which world you belong? She immediately confirms
as She is from heaven only. Then she requests him to marry her and invite him-
to enjoy the nector of life. He appreciates her suggestions and tells her that he
can marry only with the prior consent of his father. She expresses her anxiety,
extreme passion and eagerness for sexual contact and speaks a lot amorously.
When she talks loose about passion, love, sex etc. he doubts her identity and
confirms that she is not from heaven. She expresses her regret and says to live
without him is impossible. He emphatically refuses her offer and asks her to go
away from heaven. Disappointed damsel tries to grab him by force and embrace
him. In this attempt she fails. Now the mystery comes out. Who she is? She is
none other than a demoness in disguise of a beautiful lady and suddenly she
changes her form to her original form a demoness by which she gets enough
strength to carry the young man wherever she wants and enjoy him to the full.
Disgusted and furious young-man leashes out his sword and cuts off her thick
breast and nose and disfigures her and sends her away from heaven.
The moral of the story “Under any circumstances, the evil should be
punished."
